World Book Day
World Book Day has been re-arranged for Thursday 8th March. Children can come dressed as their favourite book character and where possible with a healthy eating theme.
Reading Open Morning
Despite the snowy week, approximately 20 parents attended the reading workshop on Friday. It was well received and we plan to go ahead with the same format for the maths workshop on Tuesday 12th June. Other suggestions from parents included a workshop about handwriting and writing. We will look at running a session for these areas in the future. Thank you to everyone who attended for the positive feedback - we hope it helps you to understand how we teach in school and in turn supports you to help your child too.

Thank you 'Lions Clubs International'
Today Richard Baker (Isle of Axholme Lions Club President) visited school to present each class with brand new digital devices to support children to record their learning.
Digital cameras and other devices are used widely in school to capture learning e.g. recording practical work; supporting and motivating learners e.g. children write and record a presentation about the Romans. Digital devices also provide a record of experiences in school to share with parents and the wider community.
The children were delighted to receive the cameras and said, 'It will be lovely to have reliable devices to record our special moments in school.'
Thank you for supporting Harvest Festival
What a fantastic turnout to support the children as they led our Harvest Festival service today. A big thank you to Rev. Green, Mr Taylor and Mr Wilkinson who supported us to. Thank you to everyone who donated food for our local Isle of Axholme Food bank - every little contribution really does make a difference!
There is always something special happening at our school, have a look at our recent photographs to see what we do.
